RV Parks, Campgrounds, Mobile Home Parks and Subdivisions in Deep South Texas
The Rio Grande Valley has thousands of wintering sites for Snowbirds who want to become Winter Texans! From "Mom & Pop" RV Campground Parks to Mega RV and Mobile Home Resorts, you will be sure to find the Winter Vacation Spot which is best for you!
By the Grace of God and some very good luck, The Rio Grande Valley was spared the destructive forces of Hurricane Harvey.
Unfortunately, the same can not be said for our compatriots along the Northern Gulf Coast from Corpus Christie, TX to Beaumont, TX.
The citizens and organizations of the RGV have responded to the needs of our neighbors, with overwhelming generosity, in donations of food, essential items and manpower. Organizations such as Red Cross, The Salvation Army, local police and fire departments, The US Border Patrol RGV Sector along with many private citizens gave monetarily as well as taking part in search and rescue operations.
We are Proud to be Texans and it hurts a part of us when our fellow Texans are in danger and facing hardship. Especially to the magnitude experienced by the victims of Hurricane Harvey. As Americans we also extend our thoughts and prayers to those who are facing similar dangers and hardships with the coming of Hurricanes Irma and Jose to the Florida area.
As I said to start with, The Rio Grande Valley was spared any damage from Harvey. Besides some fairly gusty winds and a little rain in Port Mansfield the Valley was not affected at all. We stayed "high and dry".
Having pointed that out, we want the folks in the hurricane devastated areas to know that the Valley is here if you need to come on down for a while. Our RV Resort Parks and Mobile Home Communities have hundreds of RV Sites available as well as mobile homes for rent or sale. Our RV Dealerships have fifth wheels and travel trailers which are guaranteed to have no water damage from flooding. Allen Gooding at Gooding RV Center in Mission, TX told me that he has plenty of New and Preowned fifth wheels and travel trailers and he will make the best deals he can to help out.
So, please realize that as Texans, and Winter Texans, we stand together. If you have been affected by the flooding and storm damage along the Texas Gulf Coast, we in the Rio Grande Valley are here to help out as we can.
If you are a Winter Texan who has been staying in an RV Park or Mobile Home park in any of the flooded areas of Texas, Corpus Christie, Rockport, Port Aransas, Galveston, Houston etc., and you need to find a new place to "winter in Texas", there are over two hundred (200) choices here in the RGV. You will find these by clicking on a city in the list shown on this page. If you have suffered the loss of your RV which had been left in these areas, contact Gooding RV Center in Mission, TX. Allen Gooding will give you the best price he can in order to help out.
The Rio Grande Valley is less than 180 miles away from Corpus Christie, Rockport and Port Aransas.
