Jack Nelson and County Line is a unique three piece dance band that has entertained audiences across the Rio Grande Valley with a variety of prime and classic country tunes, a little 50's/60's rock and roll, and smiles for everyone present.
The band is led by the smooth baritone vocals of guitar playing front man Jack Nelson who has been a staple in the Valley for over ten years. This Canadian songster performs more tunes than a Wurlitzer and was named Male Vocalist of the Rio Grande Valley Music Festival as well as being chosen The Valley Star Awards Country Band of the Year.
Playing lead guitar for County Line is Nashville recording artist and Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame member Danney Williams of television and radio fame. Since 2011 he has become well known throughout the valley with his classic country riffs. Over the years Danney has played in bands that opened for Ray Price, Bill Anderson, Buck Owens, Bill Hayley's Comets and many others.
Randy Parks rounds out the band playing bass, adding harmonies to Jack's vocals, and taking the lead vocals on a few songs as well. In addition to having sung across Europe, Randy has performed at the White House, Carnegie Hall, numerous churches, country music halls, and Motel 6 showers across America. Songs he has written have been recorded by many various country and bluegrass artists, included in movies, and performed on Country Music Television.
The trio will have individual recording projects available at each performance. Jack has recorded a CD, "It's About...Time," which includes many fan favorites, as well as the self-penned "Who's Right and Who's Wrong." Featuring his remarkable guitar stylings, Danney has released a CD collection of tasty instrumental tunes entitled, "By Request." Randy has a thirteen song CD of original bluegrass tunes he has recorded titled, "Let's Do This Thing."
While they have completed their recording projects separately, when they are together onstage their individual talents become greater than the whole making the group chemistry electric, and extremely entertaining.
