Event Manager Table
NOTE: All events posted using this program are AUTO-POSTED at
WinterTexanInfo.com The Winter Texan Connection
Your events ARE NOT "AUTO-POSTED" TO ANY OTHER MEDIA.
Use the Email or Print functions provided to share your events with other media.
Click on the View/Add/Edit Events button on your CPANEL and you will see your Event Manager Table.
Note that there are multiple views for this table.
★ DEFAULT VIEW:
The default view will always show the most recent posted event first. This is helpful if you are posting lots of events. It will help you keep your place.
★ BY EVENT TYPE:
This view allows you to see only the type of event you are currently posting.
Use the "drop-down" menu to choose the event type you want.
It will show events in chronological order beginning with the current date. Events which have passed will "drop off" of the table.
★ GROUP by EVENT TYPE:
This view shows ALL Events from the current date forward. They are grouped by Event Type (alphabetically). Events which have passed will "drop off" of the table.
★ ORDER by DATE:
This view shows ALL Events listed chronologically from the current date forward. Events which have passed will "drop off" of the table.
★ SHOW PAST EVENTS:
This view includes all of your past events including every event you have posted from when you began using this program.
HELPFUL HINT:
This feature can be very helpful when you are beginning a new season.
For instance, let's say you had a weekly Jam last season and you want to continue it into this season ... Locate an instance of the Jam in the "Past Events" view and use the "ADD SAME TYPE" form to put in the first date for this season. All information from last year's jam will be remembered.
You only need to add your community address information and change anything else that is necessary.
Use this time-saver for any type of event which is mostly the same as last year's events.
About Smart Forms
To the left of each event on your event manager table you will see "buttons" you can use to add and edit events.
The EDIT form
Use this form to make corrections to an event already posted.
The form is auto-filled, all you do is change the information as needed.
The DUPLICATE form
Use this form for recurring events such as: Weekly Jams, Weekly Meals. Monthly Craft Shows etc.
The form "
REMEMBERS" all of the information for the event and populates the next four(4) dates based on weekly occurrence.
If an event will not take place on a date which is shown, simply remove the date and leave the field blank. This might occur on holidays or on a date where another event cancels the recurring event.
Likewise, if the event is not "weekly" remove the dates which do not apply.
The ADD SAME TYPE form
Use this form for events of the same type where more than the date changes. For example: Dances with different bands, Jams - but one is country the other is rock-n-roll, Entertainment with different acts.
The form "
REMEMBERS" common information. All you do is change what is necessary such as date, ticket price etc..
HELPFUL HINT:
This form can be used to start your NEXT SEASON's schedule. Access the "PAST EVENTS" table, locate the type of event you are posting and use the "ADD SAME TYPE" form. All you have to do is change the date and any other info that is necessary.
The NEW TYPE of EVENT form
Use this form when you are adding an event type which you have
NOT entered before.
Cancelling and Deleting Events
Deleting an event from your control panel removes the event from the listings at
The Winter Texan Connection ONLY.
You must contact all other media outlets to have them remove the event from their media.
You should only delete an event if it has been cancelled. Your past events will automatically "drop off" from the listings.
