The Brownsville Golf Center is an 18 hole regulation golf course. We are open 363 days out of the year. We provide our patrons with a friendly, courteous, and experienced staff.
We keep the golf course well manicured, and our facilities clean and organized. We stock a variety of cold import and domestic beer, and various assortments of soft drinks. Shary Municipal Golf Course is a 27-hole golf course with a full service driving range that is open everyday, except for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Daily play can be by tee time reservation or on a walk-in basis. Most golfers walk the course, but a fleet of 78 electric carts. Private carts are welcomed for a nominal fee. Daily green fees are competitively priced, as are annual green fees. The golf course is the number one tourist attraction for the City of Mission during the winter months.
The Golf Shop offers a complete selection of golf equipment and golf attire for men and women. Special orders can be made with in person or online and are accommodated quickly. Other services provided are golf handicaps and a lighted driving range.
The entire operation of the Shary Municipal Golf Course is managed through a Golf Director/Head Golf Professional. The shop staff consists of a clubhouse manager, 2 regular clerks, a cart mechanic, 2 cart attendants and a starter/marshal.
The clubhouse also has a full service snack bar for the patrons, with 4 snack bar clerks/beverage cart attendants. The grounds are kept up by 11 employees. The superintendent has set up a regular maintenance schedule to prepare the course for daily play. In addition, activities performed on a less than daily schedule include fertilizing, applying herbicides and pesticides, repairing bare turf areas, trimming trees, and maintaining hazards, sand traps, and winter grass over seeding of greens and tees.

Tony Butler Golf Course is a twenty-seven hole facility complete with driving range, putting and chipping greens, Pro Shop and short order kitchen. There is also a conference room that can be rented out for special events.
The course meanders through the natural South Texas terrain and is extremely easy to walk if you so choose. The 18-hole course is a championship layout measuring 6,400 yards (par 71) featuring Champions Ultra-Dwarf Bermuda greens.
The 9-hole course is a shorter course measuring 2,600 yards (par 35) with newly renovated Emerald Zoysia greens.
The Kitchen has menu items that include breakfast tacos, fresh sandwiches, hot dogs, and a great cheeseburger. You may also choose from a wide variety of your favorite refreshments and snacks.
