The Coastal Bend refers to the area being a curve along the Texas Gulf Coast of the Gulf of Mexico strtching from the mouth of the Rio Grande River near Brownsville to the McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge near Port Arthur. The coastline is paralleled by several of the Texas barrier islands, including North Padre Island, South Padre Island, Mustang Island, San José Island and Galveston Island. You will find opportunities for Fishing, RV camping, Condo Rentals and many fun things to do along the Texas Coastal Bend.

Bolivar Peninsula
Located at the eastern-most point of the Texas Coastal Bend, the Bolivar Peninsula forms a very narrow strip of land in Galveston County, Texas, separating the eastern part of Galveston Bay from the Gulf of Mexico. Named in 1816 for Simón Bolívar, pirates/privateers Jean Laffite and Louis-Michel Aury each used the Bolivar Peninsula as part of the pirate kingdom established around the Galveston Bay.

The communities of Port Bolivar, Crystal Beach, Caplen, Gilchrist, and High Island are located on Bolivar Peninsula.
You will find RV Resorts, restaurants, fishing and many more amenities when you visit or stay on the Bolivar Peninsula.
